Well I'm finally getting down to uploading the set photographed by the amazing:
I had a lot of fun on this shoot. Darkain really knows how to make a person feel comfortable in front of a camera even though I had no idea what I was doing. Posing was rather difficult as it was my first time wearing Helena, and in all honesty, I hadn't played DoA in a few months and was only going on vague memory and making it up as I went along. I guess I tried to go from regal, to melancholy, to dangerous, an just a little bit sexy and failing hard there.
The costume itself was purchased from: Kukkii-san
when I noticed she was selling it on cosplay.com. I was ecstatic to see such a beautiful costume and to be Helena, my favorite DoA character, no less I had to have it. The fit was perfect and the attention to detail was to die for. I thank her with all my heart for her dedication to the costume; it really made me feel like a lovely woman for once.
The wig was styled the night before wearing it and was about a two hour job with Got2B hair-freeze spray and a lot of teasing. I have to say it was probably one of the funnest wigs to work with, even after styling two more right before it: An Edgeworth and Kalvier Gavin for
Speaking of Shahni, it was her wonderful makeup job that I sat down for about an hour for in the morning that really brought the costume together. I was a little hesitant before at first. I don't think I'd ever had so much makeup on in my life! Yet she was right when she told me it would look fabulous on camera. I really have to thank her a thousand times for helping me look like a regal lady, ready to kick ass and take names. <3
Post-processing was done by me, such as: Color correction, lightening and darkening shadows, upping highlights, matching my lip-color, and smoothing out seams in my tights. You'll have to make due with the spam, I've got a lot to upload. Sorry in advance. :(
